TikToker Ibrahim Musana, popularly known online as Pressure 247, was yesterday further remanded to Luzira Prison for an indefinite period after fresh developments in his ongoing court case.
Musana’s continued detention follows a directive by Ritah Neumbe Kidasa, the Chief Magistrate of Buganda Road Court, who exercised her supervisory powers and ordered that the case file be transferred from Kampala City Hall Court to her jurisdiction.
The decision has effectively halted any immediate possibility of release, as the TikToker must now wait to be formally presented before the Buganda Road Court.
During his appearance at the City Hall Court on Thursday, Musana had reportedly hoped for a favorable outcome, especially amid recent public discussions surrounding Uganda’s Computer Misuse Act.
However, the presiding Grade One Magistrate Edgar Karakire ruled otherwise, informing him that he would remain on remand until the transfer process is complete.

Musana is facing charges related to the unlawful processing of personal data, as well as alleged hate speech directed at Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defence Forces and son of President Yoweri Museveni.
The case now shifts to Buganda Road Court, where further proceedings are expected to determine Musana’s legal fate.
