Acidic Vokoz says his first major concert left a mark on his career that still follows his name today.
The Ugandan singer, born Kakaire Mutwailu, reached a major career milestone when he staged the “Ndi Musoga Concert” at Lugogo Cricket Oval on August 30, 2024.
Acidic now says the concert has become almost inseparable from his name, with people bringing up the show whenever they talk about his career.
It changed things because actually that is the biggest statement in my career. It is a very big statement because whenever they mention my name, they attach that concert to it. It is a record that I made. Two years in the industry, professionally, with a successful concert.
The show came during Acidic’s rise in Uganda, with tracks such as “It’s Okay,” “Nkulinako Crush” and “Ndi Musoga” helping establish his name.
Just two years into his professional career, Acidic told NRG that he sees the concert as a major statement of what he had achieved at that stage of his journey.
