Just after burying King Oyo, Tooro is mourning another major figure in the Kingdom’s royal family after the death of Prince David Kijanangoma.
On Tuesday morning, news revealed that David, a brother of the recently announced new Omukama of Tooro, Edward Rukidi Nyabongo Kijanangoma, had passed away.
It is revealed that David Kijanangoma has been in hospital battling throat cancer.
“Prince David Kijanangoma has passed away. He’s the elder brother of the new King yet to be gazetted, Edward Rukidi Nyabongo (Kijanangoma). David has been battling cancer, according to a family member,” journalist Canary Mugume revealed via X.
It is further reported that the late had desires to become King “to unite the Batooro and rebuild kingdom structures that have been mismanaged.”
