Ava Peace has revealed that she hopes to get hitched within the next three years, saying she is eager to experience the respect and prestige she believes come with marriage.
Speaking about her plans on Rewind, Galaxy TV, the songbird said she is curious about what married life is really like, particularly because she has often heard married people describe it as difficult but continue staying in their relationships.
“Everyone we ask why they’re married says it’s not easy, but they don’t leave. I also want to go and find out why they never leave even when they are suffering as they portray,” she said.
Although she acknowledges that marriage comes with its own challenges, Ava Peace said she is not intimidated by the idea of settling down and believes she will be ready when the right time comes.
“I love the respect that comes with marriage,” she said, noting that the prestige associated with the institution is also something that appeals to her.
The singer added that her desire to get married is partly influenced by her upbringing, having grown up in a family where her parents raised her and her siblings together in marriage.
“My family is also pestering me to get hitched, and I want it too,” she added.
When it comes to choosing a future husband, Ava Peace said looks are not a major consideration for her. Instead, she wants a partner who values mutual respect, faith and her career.
She emphasized that she would want a man who supports rather than interferes with her music career.
“If you find me in the music industry, you shouldn’t remove me from it, and we should both respect each other,” she added.
