Liane Nakaweesi had been absent from the main scene for years until her unforgettable performance at Lydia Jazmine’s recent concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Bringing back her “ma figure” to the stage as the curtain raiser at the event, Liane’s body shakes and twerks had the crowd ululating, kickstarting what later turned into a historic night for Lydia Jazmine.
Speaking about the performance in particular, Liane revealed that she missed performing on such big stages and it felt satisfying to be back there.
Lydia Jazmine has now offered to make sure the ‘Mbilina’ singer doesn’t miss the big stages again.
She is offering her career a new lifeline for a comeback. Via X, the self-styled ‘One And Only’ offered to buy a song for Liane from her favourite producer.
She further offered to pay for the studio session in a good studio, the audio production, video recording and editing, and to promote the song online.
Liane has been caught by surprise by the offer. “I’m speechless, simanyi nakumanya. Only God knows,” she told us.
