What started as acting for laughs turned into a real-life romance for Ugandan content creator Shanti and her former skit partner Mr. Gordon.
Shanti has opened up about how the pair went from creating social media skits together to actually falling for each other and starting a relationship.
According to Shanti, their feelings developed as they spent more time working together.
At first, we were just acting skits together, and in the process, we developed love for each other and started dating.
The romance eventually ended, and Shanti says she has moved on.
She is now in a relationship with MC Mayor, whom she says she loves.
That makes their continued appearances in skits a little more interesting, considering the chemistry that once existed between them was not entirely fictional.
Shanti, however, does not want their on-screen partnership confused with their past relationship.
The two can still work together and entertain their audience, even though their romantic chapter has come to an end.
For Shanti, the story has moved beyond Mr Gordon.
She has a new relationship, a different chapter in her personal life and, apparently, no plans to let old on-screen chemistry rewrite the present.
