Christine Nampeera, IMO Unusual and Viana Indi lead International Women’s Day ‘Give To Gain’ Editorial Campaign

As International Women’s Day 2026 falls on March 8, the global theme #GiveToGain takes center stage, urging generosity and collaboration to advance gender equality.

Here in Uganda, BM Publications—a powerhouse in culture, talent, and brands has curated and produced a campaign featuring three dynamic young women: Viana Indi, Christine Nampeera, and Imo Unusual. These media mavens are oozing the spirit of reciprocity, showing how giving time, support, and visibility can multiply opportunities for all.

In a photoshoot blending fashion, AI-driven innovation, and sisterhood, they highlight women’s roles in shaping sustainable futures, aligning with Women’s History Month’s “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future.”

Why are these young women chosen?

Viana Indi, Uganda’s “VybQueen,” is a fast-rising media personality who’s captivating audiences on NBS TV After 5 and Next Brunch on Next Radio. As an MC and brand collaborator, she’s broken barriers with the authenticity in her bold audio radio voice and determination, inspiring young Ugandans to chase their dreams.

As a young girl who’s kept my head up amidst distractions and challenges, I’m renewing my conviction to empower the world of young women leaders. When we give, we gain—let’s forge gender equality through abundant giving.

For IWD, she’s channeling this into digital tools and AI, refocusing on evolution and innovation to uplift local communities.

Christine Nampeera, a bold digital marketer, East African podcaster with3 Truth, No Lies, and influencer known for her curvy fashion flair, has built a massive following as a content creator and entrepreneur. From tech gigs to empowering body-positive narratives, she’s a Ugandan icon pushing boundaries in the digital age.

“Be careful with the woman shaped by imperfections and judgment,” she warns with a fierce smile. “The comeback is mad, and she’s not looking back.”

Through BM Publications’ campaign, Nampeera connects #GiveToGain to balance the scales, using AI and innovation to advocate for women’s health and mental well-being as pillars of resilient Ugandan societies.

Imo Unusual, the award-winning content creator blending Zimbabwean roots with Ugandan culture, delights fans on TikTok and Instagram with her fluent Luganda skits and cultural insights. As a soft-sparkling personality exploring music and everyday life, she’s bridging borders in East Africa.

“As individuals, giving support means calling out stereotypes, challenging discrimination, and celebrating women’s success,” Imo emphasizes.

In this IWD spotlight, she’s giving visibility, resources, and a voice to advance gender parity, proving that cross-cultural generosity strengthens our communities.

Curated by BM Publications in Kampala, Uganda, this campaign was more than a photoshoot. It’s a call to action. “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future” is the sub-theme for Women’s History Month (March) in 2026, as set by the National Women’s History Alliance (primarily U.S.-focused).

It highlights women’s leadership in addressing climate change, economic issues, health, and sustainability—beyond the IWD global theme.

As these women lead with strength and sisterhood, they remind Ugandans: When women thrive through mutual support, we all rise. Join the #GiveToGain movement this Women’s Day—give generously, gain collectively.
