After a few months AWOL, the Kats Music Band is set for a return and has already secured a permanent base in Kisasi.
The MC Kats-owned band, which was formed over a year ago, had garnered a good fan base from various live event performances within Kampala.
It, however, took a long break, which it has used to restrategise and now promises to return bigger and better starting this Wednesday.
Speaking to Mbu, MC Kats revealed that the band will be performing at the new Velvet Lounge (former Komatose Lounge) every Wednesday.
“We went into a break to revise our strategies and get a better team. We have now managed to secure a very talented team, and I’m positive this time,” Kats said.
According to him, this is a big step for the band and himself, a statement of resilience, and he has even better plans that could change the industry for the better.
“I want to create a big band brand like Kirk Franklin’s Maverick City,” MC Kats emphasized, and further noted that there is a possibility of Fille joining the band to preach the gospel to people who may not be able to go to church but frequent the bar.
