Veteran producer Washington has revealed his list of the top 10 songs he considers the greatest he has ever produced, highlighting a catalogue that shaped Uganda’s modern music sound.
The list features a mix of iconic hits and fan favourites from some of East Africa’s biggest artists, reflecting Washington’s long-standing influence in the industry.
Topping the list is Wendi by Bobi Wine, followed by the regional hit Fire Anthem by East African Bashment Crew.
Also making the cut is Breath Away by the Goodlyfe Crew, alongside Lwaki Temumatila by Buchaman.
The list further includes Ayokya Yokya by Cindy Sanyu, Gold Digger by Jackie Chandiru, and Vitamin by Lilian Mbabazi.
Kenyan star Nameless also appears on the list with Salary, while Ngenda Maaso by Radio and Weasel secures a spot.
Rounding off the list is Kwezi Kwezi by President Museveni.
The selection reflects Washington’s contribution to some of the most memorable songs in the region, many of which continue to resonate with fans years after their release.
