Speaking during a YouTube podcast hosted by Shalom Kaweesi and Frank Ntambi, A Pass weighed in on Kapeke’s controversial moment at the Roast & Rhyme concert.
Kapeke made headlines after storming off stage during his performance, reportedly frustrated by poor sound. The situation escalated when he appeared to threaten throwing a microphone, an act that left many in the crowd startled.
According to A Pass, while frustrations on stage are understandable, the way an artist handles them is what truly defines their professionalism.
You can be frustrated with something but maintain composure and say, ‘guys I’m very sorry I can’t continue because of this,’ and leave the stage instead of scaring people that you’re going to throw a microphone at them.
A Pass said that such reactions reflect poorly on an artist’s character, adding that discipline and good manners are essential for longevity in the entertainment industry.
Following the incident, which occurred on March 22, Kapeke issued an apology, acknowledging his behaviour and promising to handle similar situations better in the future.
