Mudra admits music was never his passion says he is only in it for the money – Sqoop

Ugandan artist Mudra D Viral has sparked conversation after candidly opening up about his complicated relationship with music, revealing that fame and artistic fulfillment have never been his driving force.
Speaking with unusual honesty, Mudra described himself first and foremost as a proud Muslim, grounding his identity in faith rather than fame.

He dismissed the glamour often associated with the entertainment industry, making it clear that his journey into music was never about passion or validation.

“I don’t feel like I have gotten enough respect for writing and doing music,” he admitted, before quickly downplaying the importance of recognition. “But I am not here for the respect. I came for the money.”
In a striking confession that contrasts sharply with the narratives of many artists, Mudra said he has never truly loved music or performing. The stage, often seen as a place of joy and self-expression, has instead been something he endures rather than enjoys.

“I have never loved this music thing. It’s not my passion. I have never really enjoyed being on stage,” he said.
He went even further, suggesting that his presence in the industry is temporary and purely transactional. According to Mudra, financial stability would be enough reason to walk away completely.

“If Allah gives me money, you can never see me on the mic again.”
His remarks peel back the curtain on a side of the music industry rarely discussed openly — where talent and success do not always align with passion. For Mudra, music appears to be a means to an end rather than a calling, a path chosen out of necessity rather than desire.

The statement has since stirred mixed reactions among fans, with some praising his honesty while others question what it means for his future in the industry. Whether this signals an eventual exit or simply a moment of reflection remains to be seen, but one thing is clear — Mudra D Viral is navigating fame on his own terms, even if that means walking away from it entirely.
