It was meant to be serious day, one of those tense, quiet walks into a police station where every word feels heavy and every second stretches longer than it should. But in true Ugandan fashion, life had other plans.
Weasel recently shared a memory that flips tension into laughter, a moment so unexpected it now lives somewhere between irony and comedy.
“I remember when we went to the police station to report Jose Chameleone,” Weasel recalled. “Then the Afande’s phone rang…”
And just like that, the room shifted to silence, but the kind of ringtone the police officer had in his phone.
Blasting through the officer’s ringtone was none other than “Valu Valu”, one of Chameleone’s most iconic love songs. A soundtrack of passion, heartbreak, and devotion… now echoing inside a police station where the very man behind it was the subject of a report.
You can almost picture it: stiff faces struggling not to crack, glances exchanged in disbelief.
Here they were, reporting Chameleone… while his voice serenaded them from a government-issued desk.
