‘Don’t joke with the music industry’ — Sama Sojah speaks on alleged witchcraft – Sqoop

Singer Sama Sojah has claimed that his experiences in Uganda’s music industry have gone beyond the usual pressures of making music, alleging that he has encountered what he believes are attempts to harm him through witchcraft.

The Akaama hitmaker made the revelations during a recent media interview, where he warned fellow musicians against taking the spiritual side of the industry lightly.

According to Sama Sojah, some of the most disturbing incidents happened at his home, where he claims to have seen strange creatures that resembled snakes but had more than four legs.

“Don’t joke with the music industry, there is a lot of witchcraft happening, and I have experienced it myself. They have sent me creatures that look like snakes and have more than four legs to my home,” he said.

Sama Sojah said he personally witnessed the creatures and claims he even took photographs of them as evidence.

“I have seen them with my eyes and even taken pictures,” he said.

His account, he added, has not been limited to what he says he witnessed while awake. The singer claimed that some of the people he associates with these experiences have also appeared in his dreams, where he says he has been warned against going back to the music industry.

“Some of these people even appear in my dreams and ask me not to return to the music industry,” he said.

Sama Sojah said the situation is particularly worrying because he shares his home with his wife and children. He questioned why anyone who allegedly targets him would expose his family to such experiences.

“I have witnessed these things. It is not a story I am making up, and I thank God that I am still alive,” he said.

While stories of witchcraft and spiritual attacks have occasionally emerged from Uganda’s entertainment circles, such claims are difficult to independently establish. Sama Sojah’s account remains his personal allegation and has not been independently verified.
