Outspoken singer and media personality Jennifer Full Figure has come out swinging in defence of men after a section of female public figures, including Susan Makula, Sheilah Price and Nalongo Lewis, made remarks that she felt were disparaging towards the male gender.
Full Figure was particularly irked by comments attributed to Susan Makula, who reportedly urged women not to fall in love with or marry men who are still living in rented houses.
The remarks did not sit well with Full Figure, who hit back by questioning whether the women making such comments were themselves born in homes built by their fathers or baby daddies.
Addressing the issue, Full Figure challenged the women to reflect on their own backgrounds, arguing that renting is a reality for many people around the world.
You talk about tenants, yet almost the whole world rents. How many of you actually own the houses you live in? As you were growing up, who knew where they would build their own house or where they would lay the foundation of their house? All of you are tenants, and you’re busy attacking men who rent. All of you were born in rented houses. How many of you were born in a house that your father built for himself?
Full Figure went on to accuse the women of unfairly attacking men over their financial circumstances, before turning her criticism directly towards them.
Stop abusing the male gender. You know the reason why you’re single mothers. You don’t bathe to get clean enough. You’re all prostitutes.
Her remarks have added fuel to an already heated debate over relationships, financial expectations and the pressure placed on men to own property before they can be considered suitable marriage partners.
