Lydia Jazmine promises Liane a new song, video to reignite music career – Sqoop

Lydia Jazmine is going beyond applause to help fellow singer Liane Nakaweesi return to the music scene, promising to personally finance a new song, studio session, music video and TikTok promotion for the singer.

The gesture follows Liane’s surprise appearance at Lydia Jazmine’s concert a few days ago, where she returned to the stage after a long break from performing.

Moved by the reception Liane received from the crowd, Jazmine said she was determined to help her former stage mate make a full comeback.

“Liane, you are such a pure soul. I love, love you! Abalala tebasiima dear, you are one of a kind! I’m glad I did this hun. I didn’t know you actually missed the stage this much. I kinda thought you actually stopped singing,” Jazmine said.

She then made a more tangible promise.

“I’m buying a song for you from my favourite writer, paying your studio session to record it and doing the video too. Hope this helps bring you back for real. You deserve it! Plus, I’ll put it on TikTok promotion for you,” she added.

For Liane, the performance appears to have awakened something she had been trying to keep at rest.

The singer, known for songs such as Nkubila Ku Simu, Holiday and Singa, had stepped away from active music for personal reasons. While she had not been actively planning a comeback, the response to her brief return to the stage changed her mind.

Speaking after the performance, Liane admitted that she had missed performing more than she realised.

“I haven’t come back because I wanted it so bad, but the love people at Lydia Jazmine’s concert have shown me, that I even trended, has given me gas to really come back. I missed the stage. I felt good, I was in heaven,” she said.

She thanked Jazmine for giving her the opportunity to perform, saying the experience reminded her of what she had been missing.

“Thank you Jazmine so much and I appreciate you more than you know,” she added.

Now, with Jazmine offering to fund the song, recording and video, Liane’s unexpected stage appearance could turn into the beginning of a full return.
