Today, the Kadongo Kamu musician insists no child will ever leave the hospital with him before a DNA test confirms he is the biological father.

His stance comes from personal experience.
Walukaga revealed that DNA testing changed his life after he discovered that several children he believed were his were not biologically related to him.
The revelation forced him to rethink fatherhood, trust, and responsibility. Since then, he has come to believe that every man deserves certainty before embracing one of life’s biggest commitments.
His remarks come as DNA testing continues to dominate public discussion following the forensic findings in the late Paul Job Kafeero paternity case.
Unlike many others weighing in on the issue, Walukaga says he speaks from personal experience rather than theory.
Producer D’Mario has officially parted ways with rapper Feffe Bussi after years of working together, taking with him the studio equipment he says belongs to him as he embarks on a new chapter with his own recording studio.
The producer, who has played a key role in creating some of Feffe Bussi’s biggest songs, dismissed claims that the split was fueled by bad blood. D’Mario explained that he peacefully left the FBM setup to establish his own business, adding that Feffe Bussi is in a position to acquire his own studio equipment following the success of his recent concert.

D’Mario also opened up about the financial arrangement they had during their partnership. He revealed that he shared a percentage of his production earnings with Feffe Bussi, though it was not an equal split.
According to him, he would typically give Feffe between 20 and 30 percent of the earnings from production work, while projects secured directly by the rapper attracted a 50 percent share.
Despite the separation, D’Mario insists the two remain on good terms as each focuses on their respective careers.

The Emorimor Papa Iteso, Paul Sande Emolot Etomeileng III, has been petitioned by a member of the Iteso community seeking his intervention over alleged governance and accountability irregularities within the Iteso Cultural Union (ICU) and its development arm, the Iteso Cultural Union Development Foundation (ICUDEF).
In a petition dated July 6, 2026, George William Ecungu calls on the cultural leader to investigate what he describes as procedural breaches and governance concerns affecting the management of the cultural institution.
Ecungu alleges that a group of individuals who previously sued the Emorimor and the ICU has since been reconciled and reintegrated into the institution and is now exerting influence beyond its constitutional mandate.
He claims the group has participated in discussions regarding the possible removal of the substantive Iteso Prime Minister, an action he argues falls outside the procedures provided for under the ICU Constitution.
The petition also questions adherence to the ICU Constitution within the Ministry of Tourism and Documentation.
Ecungu alleges that although the substantive minister was duly sworn in, the deputy minister, who he claims has not taken the required oath, is carrying out ministerial duties.
Ecungu further raises concerns over the organization of the upcoming Emali Cultural Festival, arguing that although it is being promoted under the ICU banner, its planning and management appear to be concentrated among a small group of private individuals, including some ICU office bearers, rather than through the institution’s established constitutional structures.
He also questions the absence of official communication from the Office of the Minister of Information regarding the festival, despite the office’s mandate to communicate official ICU positions.
According to the petition, the published festival roadmap gives prominence to collaboration with local leaders while making limited reference to the ICU’s constitutional organs responsible for planning and decision-making.
The petition also raises governance and financial accountability concerns regarding ICUDEF, the foundation established to mobilize resources for development projects, including the construction of the Emorimor’s palace.
Ecungu wants clarification on whether all funds raised through the foundation have been properly accounted for and whether its banking arrangements and governance structures comply with the ICU Constitution.
He also questions whether the relocation of ICUDEF offices has affected institutional oversight and whether there is sufficient separation between the foundation’s fundraising role and the administrative functions of the ICU.
The petitioner warns that failure to address the concerns could erode public confidence in the cultural institution and discourage community members from contributing to development initiatives, including the construction of the Emorimor’s palace.
Efforts to obtain a response from officials of the Iteso Cultural Union were unsuccessful by the time of publication.

Uganda has officially become the first country in East Africa to join the Invictus Games Foundation, marking a major milestone that will see its wounded, injured and sick military personnel compete on the global stage for the first time.
The announcement was made on 7 July during the 14th Invictus Games Foundation Conversation at Chatham House in London, where Uganda was confirmed as the 26th nation to join the international Invictus community ahead of the 2027 Games in Birmingham.
Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex and Patron of the Invictus Games Foundation, welcomed Uganda’s admission, describing the expansion as part of the Foundation’s mission to reach more service personnel recovering from injury and illness.
“Growth has never been about numbers. It’s about reaching those who need us most, building partnerships that last and ensuring that no one feels they’re making this journey alone,” Prince Harry said.
Uganda’s admission means the country will make its debut at the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham, where wounded and injured military personnel from around the world compete in adaptive sports designed to support their recovery and rehabilitation.
Minister for Defence and Veteran Affairs Kiryowa Kiwanuka described the development as a significant achievement for Uganda and a recognition of the country’s commitment to supporting soldiers injured in the line of duty.
He thanked Prince Harry and the Invictus Games Foundation for welcoming Uganda into the movement.

Uganda’s membership follows a partnership agreement signed between the Uganda Peoples’ Defence Forces (UPDF) and the Invictus Games Foundation in October 2025 to strengthen rehabilitation programmes for wounded soldiers.
As part of the process, representatives from the Foundation visited Uganda to assess the country’s rehabilitation facilities, meet injured service personnel and their families, and tour the Mubende Defence Forces Rehabilitation and Vocational Centre, where they also donated sports equipment.
The Invictus Games, founded by Prince Harry in 2014, use sport as a tool to help wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans recover physically, mentally and socially while inspiring others through resilience and determination.

The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has announced a nationwide enforcement campaign against individuals and businesses operating public Wi-Fi hotspot services without the required licences, weeks after indicating it would not stop consumers from reselling internet access through neighborhood hotspots.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the regulator said the operation will be conducted in collaboration with licensed Internet Service Providers (ISPs), telecommunications operators and other government agencies.
“The Uganda Communications Commission, in collaboration with licensed Internet Service Providers (ISPs), licensed operators and relevant government agencies, announces targeted enforcement against illegal public Wi-Fi providers,” the statement said.
UCC said the crackdown is intended to ensure that all public internet service providers comply with the country’s communications laws and regulatory standards while safeguarding consumers.
“The goal is to foster a safe digital environment in which all users can trust the services they receive,” the Commission said.
The move follows the emergence of individuals and businesses offering public Wi-Fi services in residential areas, with some charging as little as Shs1,000 for 24 hours of internet access.
The growing trend has drawn criticism from major telecommunications companies, which argue that the practice amounts to unauthorized resale of consumer internet packages.
MTN Uganda Head of Communications Rhona Arinaitwe recently said reselling internet purchased under consumer packages constitutes unfair competition.
“It is against the terms of service to resell these packages. It should not be tolerated,” she said.
Airtel Uganda has also described the practice as illegal and disruptive to the telecommunications market.
The latest enforcement announcement appears to contrast with comments made last month by UCC’s Director of Economic Regulation, Content and Consumer Affairs, Julianne Mweheire, who said the Commission would not stop consumers from reselling internet access through neighbourhood Wi-Fi hotspots because the practice reflected growing demand for affordable and flexible internet services.
“We’re not going to stop consumers from accessing services,” Mweheire was quoted as saying by the Daily Monitor on June 13, 2026.
However, the Commission has now directed all individuals and businesses operating public Wi-Fi services without the required licences to stop with immediate effect or regularize their operations by obtaining the necessary licences.
According to UCC, unlicensed operators expose consumers to unreliable services, data privacy risks, cybersecurity threats and limited avenues for seeking redress in case of complaints.
The Commission said the expansion of public internet services must go hand in hand with compliance with the country’s legal and regulatory framework.
UCC has advised consumers to obtain internet services only from licensed providers or their authorized agents and urged members of the public to verify the licensing status of Internet Service Providers through the official list published on its website.
The Commission said it remains committed to promoting a secure, innovative and affordable communications environment while supporting Uganda’s digital transformation and protecting the country’s communications infrastructure.

A multi-agency corruption probe launched two months ago has zeroed in on Parliament, with former Speaker Anita Among listed among the principal subjects. The investigation, authorized by President Museveni, is still examining allegations of money laundering and illicit enrichment.
In recent weeks, detectives from the Criminal Investigations Directorate and forensic experts, with support from Defence Intelligence and Security operatives, searched properties linked to Among. The raided premises include residences in Nakasero, Kigo, Ntinda and Bukedea. The raids also involved the seizure of her vehicles.
After wrapping up the first phase of the probe, CID Director Major Tom Magambo reportedly handed the Parliament report to President Museveni.
A meeting with the President in turn reportedly resolved that the IGG join the final phase of the investigation to close evidence gaps before the DPP acted.The decision stretched the conclusion of the probe by several weeks.
Last week, the IGG and CID summoned Parliament staff to record final statements at the Inspectorate’s offices. Seven officials were in the first group, that included Chris Obore Ariko, Director of Communications and Public Affairs.
They were later arraigned before the Anti-Corruption Court the same day on various offences and were not permitted to return to Parliament.
Obore was charged with others who include Daniel Adilo, director of human resource; Leonard Okema, executive secretary in the Office of the Speaker; Rajab Kaaya Ssemalulu, principal research officer and Emmanuel Emuron Okwi, principal protocol officer.
Capacity Development Officer Vincent Otebata was remanded to Luzira over corruption charges including embezzlement, money laundering, and causing a financial loss of Shs 37 billion. The accused are due back in the Anti-Corruption Court on Tuesday.
Sources close to the investigation said the joint teams have completed work on outstanding aspects of cases related to former Speaker Among.
A completed case file has since been forwarded to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions for review and guidance on charges. are expected to relate to suspected abuse of office, discrepancies in declared assets, and the management of funds under Parliament.
By press time, efforts to reach Munira Ali, spokesperson for the Inspectorate of Government, were unsuccessful as calls to her went unanswered. Police Spokesperson Assistant Commissioner of Police Kituuma Rusoke said he had not yet been briefed on developments in the investigation.

Musician Weasel Manizo (Douglas Seguya) has formally instructed the Uganda Performing Rights Society (UPRS) to immediately remove the Goodlyfe music catalogue from its royalty management system.
The decision follows UPRS’s recent disbursement of just UGX 285,498 in royalties allegedly generated from the Goodlyfe catalogue over an 18-month period—a figure that left Weasel questioning the society’s royalty collection and distribution process.
In a strongly worded legal notice, Weasel accuses UPRS of gross mismanagement, lack of transparency, and suspected fraud in handling royalties earned from Goodlyfe’s music.
This action is taken due to gross mismanagement, lack of transparency, and suspected fraud in the collection and distribution of royalties relating to our works.
Over a period of 18 months, our catalogue was reported to have earned only UGX 285,498 in royalties. This amount is wholly inconsistent with the extensive broadcast, public performance, and commercial use of our music across Uganda via radio, television, public events, and all other platforms.
This conduct constitutes a fundamental breach of trust and fiduciary duty owed to us as the legal copyright holders.
The singer further questioned how emerging artists are expected to benefit from the royalty system if an established catalogue such as Goodlyfe’s could generate such a small payout.
The legal notice also warns UPRS that failure to immediately cease managing the Goodlyfe catalogue and remove all of its works from the society’s system will prompt legal action.

A section of lower local government leaders in Sembabule District is calling for a halt to the operations of non-bank moneylenders, accusing them of fueling land disputes, unlawful property seizures, and forced evictions through high-interest loans.
The leaders have petitioned the Sembabule Resident District Commissioner (RDC), alleging that some moneylenders are charging interest rates of up to 30 percent per month and using aggressive loan recovery methods that have left many families homeless and dispossessed.
Godfrey Mujunga, the Chairperson of Nabitanga Sub-county in Lwemiyaga County, says local leaders are overwhelmed by the growing number of disputes arising from borrowers who lose land, houses, and livestock after failing to repay the loans. According to Mujunga, the area has recently experienced an influx of moneylenders opening offices in trading centres, where they target farmers seeking emergency loans.
“These businesses are unregulated because they are operating from anywhere they find room for rent. Husbands have forfeited their homes and family land as security for loans, and when they default because of the high interest charged, the wives and children are rendered victims of the circumstance,” he says.
Mujunga says his office has received more than 40 complaints over the past two months, mainly from women and children facing eviction by moneylenders. He argues that authorities should urgently intervene to protect affected families. Sarah Arinitwe, the District Councillor representing Ntuusi Sub-county, accuses some moneylenders of acting with impunity, particularly during loan recovery and the attachment of borrowers’ property.
She says local leaders have attempted to engage the lenders over public complaints, but the business owners have allegedly been uncooperative. Arinitwe adds that prolonged dry weather has worsened the situation, forcing some farmers who borrowed money to invest in agriculture to flee their homes after crop failures left them unable to repay their loans.
Winston Kamugisha, the District Councillor representing Lwemiyaga Sub-county, and Sarah Ssemusoga, the Chairperson of Kyeera Sub-county, have appealed to the RDC’s office to verify the registration status of all moneylenders operating in the district, arguing that some may be operating illegally.
Ssemusoga alleges that some borrowers are persuaded to surrender their original National Identity Cards and sign sale agreements for their properties when taking loans, making it difficult for them to challenge the seizure of their assets in the event of default.
Responding to the concerns, Sembabule Deputy Resident District Commissioner Faisal Sseruwagi says the district is considering inviting the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority to conduct an audit of all moneylenders operating in the area.
In the meantime, Sseruwagi says the RDC’s office has directed ward and sub-county chiefs, together with the General Internal Security Officers (GISOs), to ensure that moneylenders surrender all National Identity Cards confiscated from borrowers.

KAMPALA: A woman who allegedly masqueraded as a powerful operative from President Yoweri Museveni’s Office has landed in police custody after allegedly conning newly appointed State Minister for Defence and Veteran Affairs and Kisoro Woman MP Grace Akifeza Ngabirano out of UGX 60 million in a sophisticated fake State House deal has been exposed.
The suspect, Hope Tumwebaze, 53, a businesswoman and politician from Kamukuzi in Mbarara City, is accused of convincing the minister that she had the influence to fast-track government programmes and funding for Kisoro District.
Police say Akifeza, who only joined Cabinet last month, reportedly transferred the money in instalments between June and November 2025 after Tumwebaze allegedly claimed she was working from the Office of the President and needed facilitation to unlock government projects.
But the promised government programmes never materialised.
When the minister became suspicious, she reported the matter to police, triggering investigations that ended with Tumwebaze’s arrest in Kampala.
According to the charge sheet, Tumwebaze has been charged with obtaining money by false pretences under Section 285 of the Penal Code.
Police spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke said investigators believe the minister may not be the only victim.
“The MP sent the money in instalments believing it would help her constituency benefit from government programmes. The suspect claimed to be from the Office of the President and convinced the complainant that the money was needed to expedite service delivery,” Rusoke said.
Police have now appealed to the public and government officials to verify anyone claiming to represent State House before handing over money.
“We urge all citizens and public officials to be vigilant. If someone claims to act for the Office of the President in fundraising, communication or transactions, first verify with the authorised offices,” Rusoke warned.
OLD SCANDALS RETURN
As news of her arrest spread, fresh claims resurfaced linking Tumwebaze to an earlier multimillion-shilling deal in Mbarara.
Sources allege that in 2018 she convinced a local businessman, identified only as Bogere, that she could help him secure a lucrative State House deal.
The businessman is said to have mortgaged property worth more than UGX 300 million to raise the money, only for the promised deal to collapse, leaving him allegedly bankrupt after losing both the cash and the building.
Investigators are also looking into claims that Tumwebaze’s alleged son, identified only as Mark, has been moving around claiming to be a soldier attached to State House.
Those allegations have not resulted in any publicly known conviction, but investigators are now expected to examine whether there is any connection between the previous complaints and the current case.
POWERFUL NRM MOBILISER
Before her arrest, Tumwebaze was widely known in Mbarara’s political circles as a prominent NRM mobiliser.
She previously served as Mbarara District Women Council Chairperson and, despite losing her elective position, remained active in party mobilisation.
She is also known as a businesswoman and used to operate a boutique on Mbaguta Street in Mbarara City and was frequently seen at NRM meetings, where she was perceived by some as having strong links to influential figures in State House.
Police investigations are continuing as detectives seek to establish whether other politicians, businesspeople or members of the public may have fallen victim to the same alleged scheme.
Grace Akifeza Ngabirano is the Woman Member of Parliament for Kisoro District and serves as the State Minister of State for Defence and Veteran Affairs in Uganda’s cabinet.
She won the Kisoro District Woman MP by-election in late 2024 to replace the late Sarah Mateke Nyirabashitsi.
She was re-elected with an overwhelming majority, securing 74,700 votes to represent the region for the 2026–2031 parliamentary term.
She was officially appointed to President Yoweri Museveni’s cabinet in May 2026.
