Jackie Chandiru reveals that the fame she gained from her musical talent helped her be noticed right from school times, where boys never used to even approach her.
While on Suzan Makula’s YouTube show, Chandiru, whose music catalogue speaks volumes for her, said that in school, she was unnoticeable bar her talent.
“Fame actually changed me in terms of character, speaking to people, and behaviour,” Chandiru noted that choosing music was a pivotal turning point in her life.
She claimed that, while still in school, she did not win boys’ attention until she had the microphone in her hands, since they always saw her as a “bro.”
In school, they used to know me as a person who would sing, but they only took notice of me when I had the microphone. Minus the microphone, they wouldn’t look at me.
Guys wouldn’t approach me; they saw me as a bro. It was only when I had the microphone that they noticed my talent. That was the only time I got noticed.
