Controversial Ugandan singer Patrick Mulwana, popularly known as Alien Skin, has distanced himself from the ongoing excitement surrounding the Copyright Law Amendment.
While many artists have welcomed the move, Alien Skin has taken a different stance, making it clear he has no interest in the law.
Speaking in an interview with a local television station, the Fangone Forest boss dismissed the amendment, claiming it mainly benefits musicians who are struggling financially.
“I don’t have any interest in copyright law. I saw all the musicians celebrating, but I also remembered I beat them during campaigns with only two songs. It will work for those with no bookings, but me I’m not among them,” he said.
Alien Skin further bragged about his strong performance bookings, suggesting he relies more on live shows than royalties.
In a surprising revelation, he also hinted at stepping away from the music scene, stating that he is considering shutting down his Fangone Forest music group due to a growing loss of interest in the industry.
