Black Shuga alleges she was used to promote Amos Lovins’ music – Sqoop

Media personality Black Shuga has spoken candidly about her past relationship with singer Amos Lovinz, describing it as a calculated arrangement that, in her view, was driven more by strategy than genuine emotion.

In a recent interview, Shuga did not hold back, alleging that the relationship was built around  the singer’s career rather than love.

“It was never love, it was always business,” she said, setting the tone for a deeply personal account that has since sparked conversation online.

According to her, suspicions began to grow during the relationship, eventually leading her to go through Lovinz’ phone, something she says revealed uncomfortable truths about how she was perceived behind the scenes.

“I went through his phone one time. His family is his management. We used to share passwords,” she revealed.

Shuga claims that conversations she came across suggested she was being used as part of a broader plan to boost Lovinz’ visibility in the music industry. What hurt her most, she says, was not just the alleged criticism from his inner circle, but his reaction to it.

“They were bashing me, and I wouldn’t have minded, but what hurt me was that Lovinz was in support of it,” she said.

She further pushed back against long-standing speculation that her relationship with the singer had been contractual, saying the narrative was one she believes originated from his management.

“The reason people claim I was hired and had a contract to date Lovinz is because that is the narrative management and family is spreading. How I wish I was paid, so that when we part ways I know I earned something from it,” she added.

Shuga also reflected on her emotional investment in the relationship, suggesting that her openness may have made her vulnerable.

“He knew my weakness, that when I love, I love so much, and I love to be loved,” she said, adding that in her view, even Lovins was aware that his feelings were not genuine.

While she did not go into detail about the widely talked-about proposal, she hinted that “the proposal is a different story,” suggesting there may be more yet to be revealed.

In one of the more striking claims, Shuga alleged that multiple women were involved around the singer during their relationship, saying she became aware of this early on.

“The women that were claiming him had been there from way back, roughly 12 women or more, because they used to change, and Amos knows it,” she said.

She also indicated that she may provide proof to back her claims in the future.

“One day I will release evidence of all the things I am saying. I don’t lie because I am a professional journalist,” she stated.

Her revelations have since stirred debate across social media, with some expressing sympathy for her experience while others have called for responses from Lovinz.

As of now, Amos Lovinz has not publicly addressed the claims.
