Ugandan producer Nash Wonder has revealed that he has recorded a song of his own, giving fans a rare chance to hear the hitmaker step away from the production desk and into the role of a singer.
Nash Wonder, whose real name is Enock Kubeerwa, disclosed that he has a song titled “Nkusubiza,” although he has not yet released it on major streaming platforms or music stores.
Speaking during an interview on Daily Soup, he explained that fans can already find the sound on TikTok and suggested that an official release could come at any time.
I have a song called “Nkusubiza.” I have not yet put it on streaming platforms or music stores, but the sound is available on TikTok. I will release it anytime. As you know, you have to first set yourself up.
The revelation is an interesting twist for someone who has spent much of his career working behind the scenes to create music for other artistes.
Nash Wonder rose to prominence in the early 2010s during his time at Monster Studios, where he established himself as one of Uganda’s notable music producers and audio engineers.
Still, he does not appear interested in turning his recording into a full-time career.
Nash Wonder made it clear that he is not recording music because he wants to become deeply involved in the music industry as an artiste. Instead, he sees the project as something personal that allows him to enjoy another side of music.
But I am not doing music because I want to be deeply involved in the music industry. I do it simply to enjoy myself as a person.
For now, “Nkusubiza” remains outside the major streaming platforms, with the TikTok sound giving fans an early taste of Nash Wonder’s venture into singing.
Whether he eventually gives the song a full release will depend on when he decides he is ready to put it out.
