Jowy Landa vows to ditch vulgar lyrics for cleaner music

Jowy Landa has revealed that she is turning a new leaf in her music career, vowing to stop releasing songs with vulgar undertones.

While speaking to NRG Radio Ignition Show host Mr. Henrie, Jowy addressed concerns about her lyrical style. Although some of her music may sound playful or “sugar-coated,” critics have often pointed out that the deeper meaning leans toward vulgarity.

Responding to this, the singer admitted that the direction was influenced by misguided advice. According to her, some people around her pushed the idea that such content is what Ugandan audiences tend to enjoy and promote.

I’m not doing such music anymore because now most of my fans fall into the corporate world.

Jowy Landa acknowledged that, financially, the controversial songs have performed better. She noted that during performances, fans often request those very tracks because they enjoy the vibe they bring.

However, she says her focus has now shifted.

We have been releasing beautiful music every month this year and people have loved it. I’ll continue doing the same and completely do away with vulgar lyrics,” she emphasized.

The singer described her previous approach as a misstep and made it clear that she is now committed to producing cleaner, more refined music that aligns with her evolving audience and brand.
