MC Nuvian, the man behind the ill-fated event, is not shying away from responsibility. Instead, he is choosing reflection over defensiveness, offering an account of what really went wrong and why tensions boiled over.

“What brought me to Nine Yards to meet Spice Diana is to see that we mend our relationship,” he shared. “Because she has something to lose and I have something to lose as well.”

According to MC Nuvian, by the time the singer arrived at the venue, her balance had not been cleared, a situation he admits he had already communicated to her beforehand. But what might have remained a private inconvenience quickly spiraled.

Upon arrival, Spice Diana reportedly faced difficulty accessing the venue due to misunderstandings with bar management. That moment, MC Nuvian believes, was the tipping point.

“That is where her anger came from,” he explained, referring to the dramatic decision to confiscate sound equipment, a move that has since dominated online conversations.

The event itself, he admits, was a flop. Ticket sales did not meet expectations, leaving him financially strained and unable to settle obligations not just to the artist but also to third parties.

“I had hired the machines somewhere in Masaka,” he said. “It is my responsibility to see that they are returned to the owner.”

“I will have to talk to her because I know she is an understanding person.”
