Ugandan singer Sheebah Karungi has revealed that fellow artist Winnie Nwagi once tried to mediate between her and longtime rival Spice Diana, although the effort did not succeed.
The relationship between Sheebah and Spice Diana has for years been strained, with attempts at reconciliation failing to restore a lasting bond.
Speaking on her “Let’s Talk About It” podcast, Sheebah said she appreciated Nwagi’s efforts to step in and try to resolve the situation saying it is one of the reasons she respects her.
“I met Winnie at Bad Black’s wedding, and she asked me, ‘What’s the issue between you and Spice Diana?’ I like that—that’s why I love Winnie,” Sheebah said.
“She told me she was thinking of bringing us together to sit and sort things out, but I told her I also wanted to understand what the issue really was.”
According to Sheebah, part of the tension may have been fueled by fan rivalry, but she questioned whether that alone could explain the situation.
“She mentioned maybe it was our fans fueling it, but if it’s the fans, why are you going on interviews saying things?” she added.
Despite Nwagi’s attempt to bridge the gap, the two artists remain at odds, with no clear resolution in sight.
