Kampala’s social scene is set for a stylish twist this Friday as Tanqueray hosts an exclusive high fashion cinema experience at Arena Mall.
Blending an elevated gin experience with the world of style, the invite-only affair draws inspiration from the editorial glamour of The Devil Wears Prada, bringing together some of the city’s fashion icons for a night of elegance.
The red-carpet event will culminate in a first viewing of the film’s sequel at Century Cinemax Arena Mall, setting the tone for what organisers describe as a refined celebration of fashion, film and lifestyle.
Ahead of the event, Nancy Nansikombi, East Africa Brand Manager for Tanqueray, expressed excitement about the concept.
“This is a celebration of the meticulous craft that defines both high fashion and the perfect pour. Through our global ‘It’s Showtime’ campaign, Tanqueray invites those who appreciate the finer things in life to step into their style game and enjoy a refined experience where every detail is crafted to perfection,” she said.
She added that the brand aims to mirror the bold presence associated with the film’s iconic characters.
“Much like the icons in the movie, Tanqueray will not just show up; it will make an entrance. We are thrilled to host the first viewing of such an iconic story, celebrating its legacy two decades later,” she noted.
Guests can expect fashion-inspired cocktails, blending the bold botanicals of Tanqueray London Dry Gin with the glamour of high fashion for a curated sensory experience.
The night will extend beyond the cinema, with an after-party scheduled at Baoli Kampala, where the style and celebration are expected to continue into the late hours.
With its mix of film, fashion and nightlife, the event is poised to offer a fresh take on Kampala’s upscale social experiences.
