Rum brand Morgan is turning up the heat once again with its bold, culture driven Takeovers, this time adding a sporty twist to the party experience.
Fresh off the launch of its high energy Takeovers, sports edition, the brand is heading to Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi on May 1, before wrapping up at Vibez Nzuri hosted at Gazebo Grill.
The events are designed to inject a new kind of energy into Uganda’s social scene, blending music, interactive games and bold flavour into one immersive experience.
Led by a team of vibrant “captains,” the takeovers will feature a mix of sporty competitions and group challenges, with partygoers divided into crews to shake up how they engage with the brand.
According to Raymond Karama, the Brand Manager for the rum at Uganda Breweries Limited, the concept is about redefining nightlife and social connection.
“The new Captain Morgan Takeovers are built for unconventional, culture driven experiences,” he said. “We’ve spiced up the traditional party with a touch of sport and competition, best experienced through great music, better company and a glass of Captain Morgan enjoyed exactly how you prefer. Come be part of something that defines your energy.”
The Nkozi edition will set the tone with a curated music lineup featuring Captain Melvyn Dee Jay, Wiz J and DJ Nelly, alongside performances from Quex and Ayma.
The energy then shifts to Vibez Nzuri, where the takeover continues with performances from Mun G, Kohen Jaycee, DJ Bugy, Dread Lazer and Hey Bez, among others.
With its fusion of sport, music and social interaction, the Captain Morgan Takeover is positioning itself as more than just a party, but an evolving lifestyle experience tailored for a generation seeking something different.
