For years, Sheebah Karungi has been at the center of speculation surrounding her love life and sexuality. Now, the outspoken singer has finally responded to the rumours in her own words.
Speaking on her Let’s Talk About It podcast, the ‘Nsi Namba’ singer addressed claims that have repeatedly labelled her a lesbian, explaining that she does not place limits on love based on gender.
According to Sheebah, what matters most to her is a person’s heart, character, and the way they treat others.
“I love who I love. I fall in love with human beings. That’s all I can say. If you’re a good human being, I’m gonna love you,” she said.
The singer noted that she is drawn to people with genuine hearts and positive energy, regardless of whether they are male or female.
“If you’re beautiful at heart and you’re a good human being, I am your girl. Man or woman, I don’t really see all that. I love humans,” she explained.
Sheebah, born Samali Karungi, has often faced online discussions and rumours linking her to relationships with fellow women, partly fueled by her bold personality and strong feminist stance. However, she insisted that love, for her, goes beyond labels and societal expectations.
“It has nothing to do with anything else. If you love me and you’re a good person, I’ll love you too,” she added.
The singer also made it clear that she is leaving room for the public to interpret her remarks however they wish.
“How people choose to interpret it is entirely up to them,” she said.
Her comments have since generated widespread discussion online, with fans and critics alike debating the meaning behind her statements.
