TikToker and musician Black Shuga has come out strongly in defense of Sheebah Karungi following the backlash she received over her views on marriage and relationships.
During a recent TikTok Live session, Black Shuga criticized people who attacked Sheebah after the singer revealed that she has no interest in marriage and would rather have children without necessarily getting married.
According to Black Shuga, many women are technically married or living with their partners but still feel lonely and unsupported in their relationships.
“Many of you are married but you’re still single,” Black Shuga said during the live session.
She went on to argue that some women stay with men who only fulfill physical needs but fail to provide emotional support, companionship, or responsibility in the home.
They are living with their baby daddies but they are single mothers. You live with the man, sleep with him but you’re a single mother so in short, you have a sex toy at home.
Black Shuga further claimed that a number of women rush into marriage simply to impress society and create the image that their lives are perfect, yet they continue to suffer privately in those relationships.
For that reason, she said she fully understands and supports Sheebah’s decision not to prioritize marriage. She also defended Sheebah’s earlier comments about being comfortable with the idea of becoming a co-wife if the relationship arrangement works for her.
