Dancehall singer Yung Mulo has credited fellow musician Roden Y Kabako for inspiring and motivating him to officially formalize his relationship with his longtime partner, Brenda Kahima.
Yung Mulo and Kahima have been together for close to eight years and are blessed with two children.
Sharing details about their love journey, Mulo revealed that for years, Kahima had been asking him to visit her parents and officially ask for her hand in marriage.
However, he kept dodging the idea due to personal fears and financial struggles.
The singer explained that things changed after his close friend Roden Y Kabako stepped in and encouraged him to take the relationship more seriously.
According to Mulo, Kabako made the whole process seem easier and kept counseling him to take things slowly but confidently.
With time, Mulo says he gained the courage to make the big step, and preparations for their traditional introduction ceremony and eventual wedding are already underway.
Kahima Brenda and I have two children together. The idea came from Kabako. He is the one who pushed me and gave me the zeal to take a serious step in my relationship because I used to dodge it. Kabako is the chairman of all my meetings.
The singer added that the official dates for the traditional functions and wedding preparations will soon be announced online as the couple continues organizing for their special day
