D’Mario, a renowned Ugandan audio producer affiliated with Legend Production Studio, is reportedly being held at Luzira Prison following his recent arrest.
According to reports, D’Mario was arrested from a hangout spot in Kasanga along Konge Road after a misunderstanding that allegedly started inside the bar.
It is said that while preparing to leave his seat, he accidentally knocked over and broke a shisha pot that belonged to a group of Eritreans who were smoking nearby.
As efforts to resolve the matter unfolded, a Police patrol attached to Kabalagala Police was reportedly called to the scene.
D’Mario and a friend who was with him were arrested that same night before being taken into custody.
The following morning, the producer was arraigned before the court and later remanded to Luzira Prison.
He is expected to return to City Hall Court on June 16 for the next hearing of his case.
One of D’Mario’s close friends and former student in music production, Rankx, has appealed to friends, fans, and well-wishers to support the producer during this difficult period.
So far, rapper Feffe Bussi is among the few public figures who have reportedly stepped forward to support D’Mario, alongside Dokta Brain, by helping secure legal assistance and facilitating visits to the producer while in prison.
