A letter circulating online and attributed to Ugandan music legend Jose Chameleone has sparked fresh conversation in the entertainment industry after the singer reportedly released his booking of Lugogo Cricket Oval Stadium, paving the way for another event to take place at the venue.
In the letter dated May 26 and bearing the official branding of Leone Island Music Empire, Chameleone, born Joseph Mayanja, states that he has voluntarily released his reservation for Lugogo Cricket Oval on December 4, 2026, a date that had reportedly been secured and fully paid for his anticipated concert, “Chameleone Unlimited.”
According to the letter addressed to Kings Love Entertainment, a company associated with singer King Saha, the decision was made “in the interest of the entertainment industry” and to allow other stakeholders an opportunity to host their event.
“This confirms that I have voluntarily released my booking of Lugogo Cricket Oval Stadium for 4th December 2026, which had been secured and fully paid for my concert, ‘Chameleone Unlimited,’” part of the letter reads.
Chameleone further authorizes management at Lugogo Cricket Oval Stadium to transfer the booking to Kings Love Entertainment, signaling what appears to be an amicable handover of the venue.
Despite releasing the booking, the singer made it clear that “Chameleone Unlimited” remains a priority and will be announced at a later date.

The development is likely to fuel further speculation among fans, especially given that this marks the third reported postponement of the Chameleone Unlimited concert this year, raising fresh questions about when the highly anticipated show will finally happen.
Adding another layer of intrigue is the connection between Chameleone and King Saha. The two musicians had for years maintained a close friendship and professional relationship, with Saha often publicly crediting Chameleone for mentorship and support during key moments in his career.
However, in recent months, the relationship between the two artistes appears to have deteriorated, with signs of a fallout emerging publicly, making the latest development all the more surprising to fans.
While the exact circumstances surrounding the venue release remain unclear, some entertainment observers see the move as a potentially mature step aimed at avoiding unnecessary clashes within Uganda’s increasingly competitive concert calendar.
