Florence Nampijja explains why she avoids TikTok

Florence Nampijja has opened up about why she has chosen to stay away from TikTok, despite the platform’s growing popularity and the financial opportunities it offers content creators.

Speaking in an interview with Faridah Nakazibwe, Nampijja revealed that she does not own a TikTok account, although she is aware that several people have created accounts using her name.

I don’t have what to post there. I see people spend a lot of time doing content and I don’t have it. Every time their cameras are on and clean, shooting content.

During the conversation, Faridah Nakazibwe highlighted how many people are making substantial income from TikTok through brand endorsements, dance challenges, and other forms of content creation. However, Nampijja maintained that she is not interested in pursuing that path.

According to her, growing a successful TikTok account requires consistency and dedication, something she currently does not have the time for.

I think the account has to first grow and for that to happen it means you have to keep posting. For me, I don’t see myself having that time to grow an account.

Instead, Nampijja prefers to focus on Facebook and Instagram, the two social media platforms she actively uses. She also revealed that she is still rebuilding her Facebook presence after losing her original page.

Nampijja disclosed that her first Facebook account, which had accumulated over 500,000 followers, was hacked in 2022, forcing her to start over.
