Rapper Keko has publicly confirmed that she was once in a romantic relationship with singer Sheebah Karungi, revealing that the two dated for two years before eventually going their separate ways.
Speaking during a recent interview, Keko openly addressed the long-speculated relationship when asked about her connection with the Nkwatako singer.
“Yes, we dated for two years,” Keko revealed.
According to the rapper, the relationship ended during a period when the pair found themselves at different stages in their music careers.
Keko explained that while her own career was gaining momentum at the time, Sheebah was still trying to establish herself in the industry, something she believes may have created strain in the relationship.
She suggested that the difference in career trajectories may have contributed to frustrations, eventually leading to their separation.
Reflecting on the situation, Keko compared their experience to younger artists whose careers are currently growing side by side.
She pointed to singers Joshua Baraka and Etania as an example of couples navigating success simultaneously, noting that her situation with Sheebah was different because only one of them appeared to be thriving professionally at the time.
Keko also revisited her past disagreements with music manager Jeff Kiwa, alleging that tensions arose after Sheebah later joined his management.
According to the rapper, she felt there were attempts to create unnecessary drama during a period when she was receiving recognition for her music.
Keko claimed that an incident surrounding one of her award moments was later portrayed in a way she believes misrepresented her intentions, despite her insistence that she had shown respect and acknowledged those involved.
Her revelations have since sparked fresh discussion among fans, many of whom had long speculated about the nature of her relationship with Sheebah over the years.
Neither Sheebah nor Jeff Kiwa had publicly responded to Keko’s remarks by the time of publication.
