Comedy duo Sammie and Shawa narrowly escaped death after surviving a road accident while traveling to Hoima for a performance.
According to Shawa, who was behind the wheel at the time, the accident occurred when a cow suddenly crossed the road at night.
He explained that although he was driving at a high speed, he managed to swerve and avoid a direct collision, only hitting the animal on one side of the vehicle.
The impact left the car with minor damage, including a broken side mirror and a dented bonnet. Shawa used the incident to call upon cattle owners in Hoima to be more responsible and avoid leaving animals roaming on roads at night, saying the practice puts motorists’ lives at risk.
He revealed that there were five people in the vehicle: himself, Sammie, Cyrus, Masaka, and Jammie M. Fortunately, none of them sustained any injuries.
Shawa expressed gratitude to God for sparing their lives, describing the experience as a frightening reminder of how quickly tragedy can strike.
We were driving to Hoima when we hit a cow, but thankfully we survived the accident. There were five of us in the car, and no one was injured. Hoima people should know that allowing cattle to roam at night is dangerous.
