Singer Mansoor Semanda, popularly known as King Saha, has set the record straight regarding his relationship with Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) President Edrisah Musuuza, alias Eddy Kenzo.
For some time, the two have been perceived to be at odds following reports that King Saha once physically confronted Kenzo during a UNMF meeting, fueling speculation of a strained relationship between the musicians.
However, speaking in a recent interview, King Saha dismissed claims of bad blood between them.
He pointed to their cordial interaction at the burial of veteran singer Master Parrot, held on Wednesday in Butembe, Kammengo, Mpigi District, where the two greeted and embraced each other.
“Eddy Kenzo is not my enemy. We only differ in ideology and opinion on certain matters. It’s only my approach when I’m talking about an issue that can make people think that I have trouble with someone, but I’m a very peaceful person.”
He also weighed in on Eddy Kenzo’s recent remarks crediting Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine, for laying the foundation of his music career.
“I wasn’t shocked at all seeing Kenzo thanking Bobi Wine. It had to be so because Bobi Wine gave them a platform and supported their music careers. Bobi did a lot for many artists, depending on the circumstances at that time.”
