Singer Yung Mulo, born Kasim Lubega, has opened up about his upcoming traditional introduction ceremony with fiancée Brenda Kahima, revealing some of the challenges and humorous moments surrounding the preparations.
Speaking during a TikTok Live session with fellow artiste Alien Skin, the singer shared details of their recent Kukyala ceremony, which took place on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
The private event saw the couple visit Brenda’s aunt (Ssenga) in the company of close relatives and friends as part of preparations for their official introduction ceremony scheduled for June 20.
According to Yung Mulo, one of the most surprising moments came when he was presented with the marriage requirements.
“They mentioned 40 cows, but I told them I could only manage three,” he said jokingly.
Despite the hefty demands, the singer explained that he chose not to challenge the requests.
“I didn’t argue with them. I simply accepted and told them I would do my best,” he explained.
Asked whether the requirements had made him reconsider taking the next step, Yung Mulo said backing out was never an option.
“It’s already time. We have two children together — one is six years old and the other is four. They’ve waited patiently for me, so I have to make it official now.”
The singer further disclosed that he has been holding virtual meetings with friends to seek support towards organizing the function.
“People think I’m fundraising for cows, but no. I’m only asking friends to help me put together a successful ceremony,” he said.
He also joked that his future in-laws might become concerned if they happened to watch clips from the interview.
“If they come across this conversation, they might call their daughter and tell her to postpone everything,” he laughed.
Yung Mulo further revealed that the day after the Kukyala, he and his fiancée had a minor disagreement over the bride price expectations.
“I woke up asking her how her parents expected me to get all those cows,” he recounted humorously.
Nevertheless, the singer remains optimistic that everything will work out.
“God will provide. With support from my friends, the introduction will happen. I’m not turning back anymore.”
