Songwriter Mozy Wryta has come forward with details he says confirm how the controversial song was acquired.
The dispute first surfaced last week when Cindy claimed she had purchased and financed the production of the song, only for Omega 256 to later take over the project while allegedly withholding her agreed share of the revenue. Omega denied the accusations and demanded an apology.
However, the two artistes appear to have reached common ground after Cindy recently revealed that Omega had sent her a split sheet allocating her 50 percent ownership of the song.

Amid the apparent resolution, Mozy Wryta has now disclosed that it was Cindy who officially bought the song from him for Shs3.2 million.
According to the songwriter, Cindy initially paid Shs2.2 million in cash and later cleared the remaining Shs1 million through a woman identified as Drum Queen.
“Cindy paid me cash of Shs2.2 million and told me she would send the remaining Shs1 million later. Drum Queen later sent me the balance and completed the payment,” he said.
Mozy added that he even produced mobile money records during the interview to demonstrate that the payment was fully settled.
He also explained that producer Oppe first handed him the instrumental before he spent several days writing the lyrics and eventually forwarded the finished song to Cindy through her personal assistant.
The songwriter’s revelations come a day after Cindy shared a screenshot from digital distribution platform DistroKid, claiming that Omega had finally honoured their agreement.
“After all the pressure you put on this woman, she finally did the right thing and sent me the split sheet with the 50% allocation. Before this, she had been getting her 60% and also the 40% which belonged to me according to our agreement. God is faithful,” Cindy wrote.
While Omega 256 had strongly denied Cindy’s allegations at the height of the disagreement, she had not publicly commented on the latest developments by press time.
