Bovi has opened up about his views on marriage and divorce, saying he often celebrates when couples decide to end their relationships.
The Nigerian stand-up comedian made the remarks during a recent episode of The Moraya Show, where he discussed the realities of married life.
He explained that he views divorce as a sign that at least one partner has escaped an unhappy situation.
I celebrate when people get divorced because I feel it means one or both people were not breathing well in the marriage. I will not suffer anybody neither will I want anybody to suffer me.
While defending his position, Bovi emphasized that he does not encourage toxic relationships and believes people should not remain in marriages that cause them pain.
He then reflected on his own experience as a married man.
That is not to say my marriage has been easy for 17 years. It has not. I got married at 29. I have been providing for 17 years nonstop.
Bovi’s comments highlight his belief that people should not remain in unhappy marriages.
