Since yesterday afternoon, Team No Sleep singer Ava Peace, born Maureen Peace Namugonza, has been trending on social media following allegations linking her to the release of explicit videos.
For more than 12 hours, the singer chose not to address the claims, believing they lacked substance and were not worth her attention.
However, after the allegations continued to spread widely online, Ava Peace has finally broken her silence, dismissing the rumors and expressing frustration over the ongoing speculation.
Taking to her X (formerly Twitter) account, the “London” singer firmly denied being the woman featured in the circulating videos.
She pointed out that the person in the clips bears no resemblance to her, noting that she has never weighed as much as the woman shown.
Ava Peace further stated that anyone paying close attention could easily tell that the face in the videos is not hers. She also suggested that malicious individuals were deliberately trying to tarnish her reputation, but remained confident that the truth would prevail.
I’m never unnecessarily bothered by unpredicted internet flames, but for this one it’s too much. We go through a lot to put the name out there and get it heard.
This is NOT me. In one of the videos there’s a lady and a man, but I’ve never gained that weight in my life. Even a fool can see that it ain’t my face. But just because there are determined forces of evil doesn’t mean God’s fair hand won’t prevail.
