Outspoken YouTuber and content creator Isaac Katende Daniel, popularly known as Kasuku, has come under heavy criticism for comments he made about the wife of the late rugby player Sydney Gongodyo Gyabi.
Sydney Gongodyo, 27, reportedly lost his life after being attacked by a mob in Bukoto. The mob allegedly accused him of snatching a woman’s bag before beating him to death.
While commenting on the tragic incident, Kasuku first expressed sympathy for the one-year-old son that Gongodyo left behind.
However, his remarks later sparked controversy when he complimented the deceased’s widow, describing her as beautiful and attractive.
Kasuku further suggested that the widow still had many opportunities to find another husband, arguing that some men would readily be interested in a single mother with one child.
He added that, despite the unfortunate circumstances, such a situation could be viewed as desirable by men seeking a relationship without interference from a current partner.
The comments have since drawn widespread criticism from members of the public, many of whom felt they were inappropriate and insensitive given the family’s grief and the rugby community’s ongoing mourning.
Critics questioned Kasuku’s empathy and judgment, arguing that the focus should have remained on honoring the deceased and supporting his loved ones during such a difficult period.
