Ugandan singer Ava Peace has publicly denied claims connecting her to videos circulating on social media, insisting she is not the person featured and urging the public to avoid spreading misinformation.
The singer addressed the matter through a statement shared on her social media platforms after speculation surrounding the footage gained traction online.
According to Ava Peace, the videos have been wrongly attributed to her and are part of an attempt to damage the reputation she has worked hard to build throughout her music career.
“It has come to my attention that certain videos circulating on social media are being wrongly associated with me. I wish to clearly and unequivocally state that I am not the individual featured in those videos,” she wrote.
The singer said she is usually unbothered by online rumors, but explained that the scale of the allegations compelled her to respond.
“I’m never unnecessarily bothered by unpredicted internet flames, but for this one it’s too much. We go through a lot to put the name out to where it’s heard. This is not me,” she stated.
Ava Peace emphasized that she has always conducted herself professionally and remains committed to protecting her image and career.
She also called on internet users to be more responsible when sharing content, warning that misinformation can have serious consequences for those targeted.
In her response, the singer maintained that anyone who carefully examines the videos would realize they do not depict her.
Despite the controversy, Ava Peace expressed confidence that the truth would eventually prevail.
“Just because there are determined forces of evil doesn’t mean God’s fair hand won’t prevail,” she added.
Her statement comes amid growing conversations about misinformation, privacy and the dangers of falsely identifying individuals in viral online content.
