Levixone’s album P2:11 originally featured 180 recorded songs, 11 made the cut

Levixone has opened up about the journey behind his upcoming album P2:11, revealing that the project was years in the making and involved recording more than 180 songs before settling on the final tracklist.

Speaking in an interview with Mbu, the gospel singer explained that the album title P2:11 is inspired by the Bible verse Philippians 2:11. The project marks a significant shift in his music career, which has largely been defined by releasing only a handful of songs over the years.

Levixone recalled that his breakthrough came in 2009 with the release of Nonya Omu, a song that introduced him to a wider audience. Since then, he has maintained a deliberate approach to music releases, often putting out just one song a year. He said this strategy worked well for years, especially after he began organizing concerts in 2012, where he would release a song and then build momentum through live performances.

However, the singer said his outlook changed after bringing a new management team on board about five years ago. According to Levixone, the team encouraged him to think bigger and pursue a full album project.

This led to extensive travels across different countries in search of unique sounds, collaborations with producers from various parts of the world, and the production of several music videos.

The album has only 11 songs, but we recorded over 180 songs. We have already shot about six videos that are waiting to be released.

He added that the album features work from producers in multiple countries, including Northern Ireland, reflecting the international influence behind the project. While he says the album is essentially complete, there are still processes to finalize before release.

Levixone is targeting October 2, 2026, as the official release date for P2:11, a project he believes will showcase a new chapter in his musical journey and ministry.
