Juliana Kanyomozi has opened up about some of the most difficult moments she faced during her time as a radio presenter at Capital FM Uganda, revealing the emotional and physical challenges that came with life behind the microphone.
Speaking during an interview on The Deep Talk, Juliana explained that one of the hardest parts of working in radio was having to maintain a cheerful and professional persona regardless of what was happening in her personal life. She noted that listeners expected to hear the same energetic Juliana every day, even when she was going through difficult moments away from the studio.

According to Juliana, she eventually learned how to separate her emotions from her work.
But over time as you do it, you get used to it and sort of learn how to switch your mood on and off. When you switch on the mic, the professional voice comes out and when you switch off, life kicks in.
She also recalled struggling with the demanding hours that come with radio broadcasting, especially after being assigned a late-night show.
Juliana revealed that there were occasions when exhaustion got the better of her and she would briefly doze off while on duty.
There were times when the music would end and I have dozed off on the mixer because it was late, like at 10 p.m. or 11 p.m, sleepy much.
Despite the challenges, Juliana described her radio experience as enjoyable and an important part of her journey in the media industry.
