Catherine Kusasira has confidently ranked herself among the top two female musicians in Uganda, insisting that very few artists can match her abilities both on stage and in the studio.
Speaking during a recent interview, Kusasira said she believes only herself and fellow singer Cinderella Sanyu possess the complete package of singing talent, stage performance, and overall entertainment value. According to Kusasira, the combination of vocal ability, performance skills, and stage presence sets them apart from the rest of the industry.

Without even exaggerating, in Uganda we have the best female musicians who can sing and perform, Cindy and Catherine Kusasira. I am a performer and a singer, same with Cindy. Even looking good, that matters too.
Kusasira acknowledged that Uganda has many talented female singers but argued that several of them excel mainly in recorded music and struggle to deliver the same energy during live performances.
She maintained that audiences would easily notice the difference when comparing her stage craft and experience with many of her peers.
Kusasira also weighed in on discussions about other female artists, including Grace Nakimera, who has previously expressed interest in taking on Cindy in a musical showdown.
While praising Nakimera’s talent, Kusasira placed her fourth in her personal ranking of Uganda’s female musicians. She also described Mary Bata as a strong singer and performer but ranked her eighth, reiterating that she and Cindy remain at the top of the pecking order.
I don’t want to go into giving more numbers, but just know it’s me and Cindy at the top. I have hit songs and we tie.
