Gospel singer Grace Nakimera has responded to media personality Kasuku after he questioned her long-standing claims about alleged witchcraft in the music industry.
For years, Nakimera has maintained that spiritual attacks were among the factors that forced her to step away from secular music at the height of her career. However, Kasuku recently dismissed her account, arguing that she simply left music after finding more lucrative opportunities elsewhere.
Reacting through a video shared on her TikTok account, Nakimera expressed disappointment with Kasuku’s remarks, saying he was commenting on matters he did not fully understand.
“You are an elder and I respect you, but if you do not know the truth about something, please do not speak about it. You cannot say I was not bewitched because you were not there. You do not know what I experienced or what I went through,” she said.
The former secular singer denied suggestions that she deliberately abandoned music despite enjoying success at the time. According to her, the challenges she faced went beyond ordinary setbacks.
Nakimera explained that she continues to share her testimony because she still has no explanation for why her flourishing career suddenly collapsed and her life took an unexpected turn.
“I have no reason why I would leave at the top and then watch everything in my life fall apart. Are you saying I planned all that?” she questioned.
She maintained that witchcraft is real and affects many people, although she emphasized that God’s power is greater than anything else.
“Witchcraft exists, but God is above everything. Even now, there are people going through such experiences,” she said.
Nakimera further claimed that spiritual attacks occur in different settings, including workplaces, markets and social circles. She added that having grown up in an environment where traditional shrines were common, she understands such realities firsthand.
“There are people whose destinies have been altered, and they are living lives they were never meant to live. These things happen everywhere—in offices, markets and many other places,” she said.
The singer concluded by cautioning people against dismissing experiences they have not personally encountered.
“Do not downplay someone’s experience simply because you do not understand what they are going through,” she said.
Kasuku had earlier rejected Nakimera’s account, insisting that her exit from the music industry was driven by better career opportunities rather than witchcraft claims.
