Karole Kasita Celebrates Successful Concert After Days of Uncertainty

Karole Kasita has every reason to celebrate.

After days of uncertainty and speculation surrounding her May 29 concert, the singer is thanking fans for turning up in large numbers and helping turn one of the most stressful weeks of her career into a memorable success.

Speaking after her show at Serena Hotel, Kasita thanked fans for showing up and making the concert a success.

I am really too happy. I saw my fans show up for me and the concert was a success. I just want to thank God for everything.

The road to the concert was not smooth.

Days before the event, reports emerged suggesting that concerts could face restrictions amid growing Ebola concerns, leaving many event organisers and artistes uncertain about their plans.

For Kasita, the development tested both her patience and faith.

When that letter came, I just trusted God. I knew nothing would happen unless God intervened. My management went to the Ministry offices and stayed there the whole day until the issue was cleared.

With the concert successfully behind her, Kasita also addressed some of the rumours that circulated in the days leading up to the show.

She dismissed claims that Victoria University Vice Chancellor Lawrence Muganga played a role in securing clearance for the event, insisting the rumours were unfounded.

Kasita also responded to questions about who did and did not attend the concert.

She brushed off conversations about rapper Feffe Busi’s absence, saying she preferred to focus on the people who showed up rather than those who did not.

It was okay. I did not even feel that. Most importantly, I would be ungrateful if I focused on that instead of thanking God for the numbers that turned up.

The singer also shared a rare detail about her personal life, revealing that her baby daddy attended the concert but chose to stay out of the spotlight.

He was there, but it was not a family gathering. I do not need to show him to the audience.

Kasita also took a moment to recognise the people and organisations that supported her concert journey, presenting Next Media with a certificate of appreciation.

With the concert finally behind her, the singer says she is ready to slow down after weeks of rehearsals, planning, pressure, and the show itself.

I am going for a vacation, or maybe a staycation. It’s been a lot.
