Weeks of online insults, public accusations and boxing talk have now landed TikToker Chicken Chicken in police custody.
According to the Uganda Police Force website, investigators arrested the content creator after a video circulating on social media appeared to show him damaging a Toyota Mark X, registration number UBM 696S, belonging to comedian Sali Sharif, popularly known as Shawa.

Police said the alleged vandalism occurred at around 3 am on June 25, 2026, at Akamweesi Mall in Kawempe.
The incident follows a bitter feud between Chicken Chicken and Shawa that both men attributed to mistrust regarding money.
Their disagreement spilled onto TikTok Live and television interviews, where they traded accusations and even floated the idea of facing off in a celebrity boxing match.
Instead, the feud appears to have escalated beyond social media. Preliminary findings indicate that Chicken Chicken and other suspects who remain at large allegedly smashed the vehicle’s windscreens, causing extensive damage.
Chicken Chicken remains in custody while detectives pursue the remaining suspects and continue investigating the case.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspect, together with other individuals who are still at large, allegedly smashed the vehicle’s windscreens, causing extensive damage.
