Levixone has shared his thoughts on the long-standing debate about whether artists should focus on releasing albums or singles, saying musicians should not be afraid to experiment with album projects despite concerns about their performance in Uganda.
Speaking to Mbu, Levixone revealed that he once believed albums did not work in the Ugandan music industry. However, his perspective has since changed, and he now believes success can only be determined by trying different approaches.
You can never know until you try. That’s why the way we are releasing this album (P2:11) is different from how people have been releasing their albums.
We released one song off the album and then dropped another that’s not on the album, and now we have released the second song off the album, a collaboration with Winnie Nwagi.
The singer noted that many artists fear albums may flop, but he believes the outcome largely depends on the distribution strategy and the partners involved.
Levixone said his team has put in place a solid distribution plan for the upcoming project and remains optimistic about its success.
We have our distributors and we believe this album we can make it, with God involved.
