Veteran actor and playwright Aloysius Matovu Joy has appealed to those whose DNA tests did not establish a biological relationship with Paul Kafeero to accept the results without feeling rejected.
Government forensic DNA tests identified four of the 25 claimants as Paul Kafeero’s biological children.
Reacting to the outcome, Matovu said the late Kadongo Kamu legend appeared to him spiritually with a message for the family, urging everyone to accept the findings while preserving the bond they had built over the years.
My children, what you wished for has finally come to pass. I never discriminated against any of you while I was alive. Even if the DNA results have separated some of you, you will always remain my children, though not by blood. Let us all respect the truth confirmed by the DNA tests.
Matovu said such messages are not unusual. According to him, Paul Kafeero only appears whenever disagreements or misunderstandings arise within the family.
Paul Kafeero does not attack me. He only appears whenever there is a challenge or misunderstanding, and he usually comes with his friend, Mulindwa Muwonge.
He also thanked Charles James Ssenkubuge, Bobi Wine, and others who have supported and cared for the children over the years.
