Content creator Chicken Chicken has walked free after reaching a settlement with comedian Shawa in a malicious damage case that had exposed him to a possible five-year prison sentence.
Emotions filled the courtroom as Chicken Chicken broke down in tears and pleaded for mercy, telling the court that imprisoning him would leave his young child without anyone to care for them.

Shawa told the court he never wanted Chicken Chicken to go to prison. His main concern, he said, was recovering the money needed to repair the damage to his Toyota Mark X.
That opened the door for both families to hold discussions, after which Chicken Chicken’s relatives raised UGX 1 million as compensation.
With the matter settled, Shawa informed the court that he no longer wished to pursue the case.
The court accepted the settlement and released Chicken Chicken, bringing the emotional courtroom saga to an end.
