Cindy Sanyu says she has no interest in stepping into another music battle, insisting that chapter of her career is firmly behind her.
The singer, whose showdown with Sheebah Karungi remains one of Uganda’s biggest entertainment events in recent years, says her priorities have changed.
Speaking on NRG Radio, Cindy explained that she would rather spend her time creating music than preparing for another face-off.
I do not want to battle anybody. I just want to make music.
She admitted there is only one name she could even imagine sharing that kind of stage with, Bebe Cool, although she quickly made it clear that she would much rather record a song with him than compete against him.
That preference, she says, reflects where she is in her career today.
Instead of proving herself through battles, Cindy wants to focus on making music that connects with listeners and collaborating with artists she respects.
I would rather collaborate with Bebe Cool than battle him.
For Cindy, the future is no longer about settling scores on stage. It is about creating music, exploring new ideas and building the kind of catalogue she wants to leave behind.
